I also should have said 4Amps each heater not Volts. The thermostat I have is Ritetemp A and says for V units – doesn’t mention single or double pole. Instructions say Black wire goes to Line and Red to Load – no ground on thermostat – is that a problem? I’m confused about not using the white wire from panel since both white and copper wire are fastened to ground strip in panel. So the white wire is not used at all in wiring any of the five heaters? What you call a 4 wire 10 – do you mean it has black, red, white and bare copper?

I am wiring up a 12 coil, I have your book and have done some study. I am using 15 gauge (mm) and have estimated doing my coils with 2 of the mm wires per coil @ 39 wraps to get a heavy amp capacity for a 12 volt charging system.

To answer your questions there is no real “limit” as to the number of wires but I would not recommend hooking any up to your stereo harness for power take it to the fuse block instead and ground your grounds to some part of the cars metal.
People can thumbs down me all they want for this but I have been an electrician for 10 years and I have put a lot of things in a lot of cars and I know what I am talking about. It doesnt matter if you have 1 wire or wires tapped onto it its the current that limits you.

Wall outlets provide volt AC power, but amplifiers require volt DC power. You’ll have to do a little extra wiring, but the problem is not insurmountable. Look up the input power specifications for your amplifier, using the manual or the manufacturer’s website. Find the specification for current draw in amperes. Purchase an AC to DC power inverter. Make sure the inverter can produce a volt DC output at the specified amperage rating.

It used to be common to install an amp meter in an MGA back in the day , but unless you are in search of some unusual information you may be better served with a volt meter. A dash mounted volt meter will be used to monitor electrical system voltage as you drive. The car battery tends to dampen system voltage swings, generally well within a range of 8 to 16 volts for a nominal 12 volt system. So to have the best meter reading you would want a dash mounted volt meter with dial range of 8 to 16 volts give or take a bit , not a 0 to 20 volt meter.
The volt meter is a high resistance low current device which can be connected directly across the battery. In practice you can connect the earth side of the volt meter to any convenient chassis ground point. It is a good idea to connect the signal side of the volt meter to a circuit which is switched by the ignition switch, so it will be disconnected from the battery when the car is parked. It is convient to connect it to the output side of the ignition switch. If you get it wrong the meter will peg on zero with power on.
When correct it read near mid scale, hopefully a bit above 12 volts with engine running. When you blow the horn it will dip just slightly lower. When you crank the engine for starting expect the battery voltage to drop noticeably lower hopefully not below 10 volts. You could otherwise connect the volt meter closer to the main battery cable for a lttle better reading of actual battery charging or discharging condition.
When using a generator with external voltage regulator you could connect the volt meter at the point where the dynamo output wire connects to the control box.

I have a new York electric furnace and to wire it up for volt I only see L1 and L2, that are the black and red wires. I also hooked up the ground wire. But, in my cat 3 wire (required), there’s also a white neutral wire that as no place for it to be connected in the furnace.

This WOT trigger achieves two things: Above a certain speed, as determined by the governor, the transmission will not downshift from third to second or second to first gear. This is to protect the transmission from damage. Instead of a linkage or cable, the TH uses an electrical switch that is most often mounted on the carburetor.
When the linkage hits WOT, this completes the circuit to connect the transmission to full system voltage. This electrical input powers up a solenoid in the transmission that accomplishes the same results, with higher line pressure and a signal to downshift the transmission. Often when a TH is swapped into a different vehicle, this downshift electrical switch is overlooked.
